Working at Crisis Services of North Alabama
Working at Crisis Services of North Alabama means being part of a team that responds when people are facing some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Our work includes crisis counseling, emergency domestic violence shelter, advocacy for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, forensic exams, and connections to community resources. Some roles are direct service. Some are behind the scenes. All of them matter.
This work takes compassion, steady judgment, and a deep respect for the people we serve. It also takes flexibility. Crisis work does not always fit neatly into a schedule or a checklist, and the needs of clients often require patience, problem-solving, and teamwork.
We are looking for people who can listen without judgment, protect confidentiality, follow through on details, and stay grounded in difficult situations. Our clients may be overwhelmed, afraid, angry, exhausted, or unsure what to do next. They deserve support that is calm, respectful, and centered on their safety and choices.
This is meaningful work, but it is not always easy work. We support people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, emotional distress, housing instability, and other crises. Staff need to be able to work with care while also maintaining healthy boundaries and working as part of a team.
At Crisis Services, you will find people who care deeply about the mission and about each other. We focus on the client, we work together, and we understand that sometimes even a small act of steadiness can make a real difference.
If you are compassionate, dependable, willing to learn, and ready to be part of crisis response in North Alabama, we invite you to explore our current openings.
