Your generosity sustains our vital programs for victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, our HELPline, the Forensic Nurse Examiner program, and our education programs.
Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Programs
These programs offer confidential assistance to victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, including counseling and court advocacy, emphasizing the importance of the individual's safety and well-being. HOPE Place, our shelter program, offers a safe space to stay for survivors of domestic violence.
Forensic Nurse Examiners
Our Forensic Nurse Examiners provide comprehensive care and evidence collection for victims/survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. From conducting forensic exams to serving as expert witnesses, they play a crucial role in supporting law enforcement and pursuing justice.
Crisis Counseling
Our 24-hour HELPline (256-716-1000) offers trauma-informed crisis counseling by trained volunteers. We also offer valuable assistance in finding the necessary resources to overcome crises. HELPline volunteers also connect victims/survivors with our programs and services.
Education and Empowerment
Crisis Services prioritizes community education to help prevent future crises. We provide training for and offer speaking engagements about both sexual assault and suicide prevention.
