Painting for a Purpose
Join us for Painting for a Purpose—a community paint-along during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Every brushstroke helps! All proceeds support Crisis Services of North Alabama’s Domestic Violence Program, which includes our emergency domestic violence shelter, survivor advocacy, and 24/7 HELPline (256-716-1000). Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.

Storybook Spooktacular
Get ready for a fun-filled day at the Storybook Spooktacular on Saturday, October 26th! This Halloween-themed event will feature free books and board games for every child and family, along with complimentary Kona Ice treats. Kids can enjoy bouncy houses, games, face painting, and a variety of activities, with door prizes and candy for everyone. Come in costume or just as you are—there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Plus, explore the resource fair, where local agencies will be on hand to provide valuable information and services. Don't miss out on this exciting community celebration, brought to you by the Jackson County Children's Policy Council and Youth Advocacy Program, Inc.

This Changed Everything
This Changed Everything is an evening of storytelling and spoken word, shared by people reflecting on a moment that changed everything. Stories range from the contentment of finding a purpose to the pain of losing a friend, including one story from a survivor who found safety and support through Crisis Services of North Alabama.
Proceeds support Crisis Services of North Alabama and help provide no-cost, confidential services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and those in need of crisis counseling. Your ticket helps keep our 24/7 HELPline, emergency shelter, and advocacy services available to those who need them most.

Tiny Tot Turkey Trot
Do you have what it takes to take on Tina Turkey, our hilariously huge turkey mascot, in the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot? You’ll have 100 yards to prove you’re faster than our finely feathered friend!
This Trot starts at 9:00 am. No need to sign up in advance and IT’S FREE! No cash, no credit card, just lots of fun. (Please note: the Tiny Tot race is only for kids aged 5 and under.)

31st Annual Turkey Trot
Join Crisis Services of North Alabama on Thanksgiving Day morning for the 31st Annual Turkey Trot 5k! It's a family-friendly Thanksgiving tradition that brings friends, family, and neighbors together from the Tennessee Valley and beyond.
Event proceeds support victims of sexual assault and domestic violence at the starting line of their healing journey and helps guide them through the course to survivor-hood.

A Survivor Speaks
Crisis Services’ Jackson County Victim Advocates will host “A Survivor Speaks” at the Scottsboro Public Library from 11 am – 12 pm.

Haircuts for Hope
In coordination with Crisis Services of North Alabama Victim Advocates office in Jackson County, Chaleur Salon will be hosting Haircuts for Hope 10 am - 2 pm. Domestic Violence survivors can call the Jackson County office at 256-574-5826 for more information.

Stop the Silence About Domestic Violence
Crisis Services’ Madison County Administrative Headquarters and Victim Advocates will present “Stop the Silence About Domestic Violence” at The Atrium, Redstone Federal Credit Union at 11:00 am. Mayor Tommy Battle will read a proclamation, a survivor will tell her story and Crisis Services of North Alabama will offer impact statistics for the four counties we serve.

Morgan County Goes Purple for a Purpose
Crisis Services’ Morgan County Victim Advocates will host "Morgan County Goes Purple for a Purpose" at the Morgan County Courthouse beginning at 12:00 pm. This event calls for the community to stand up and speak out against domestic violence while honoring survivors and remembering those who lost their lives.

Commemoration and Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Crisis Services’ Limestone County Victim Advocates will host ”Commemoration and Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month” held on the east side of the Limestone County Courthouse beginning at 6:00 pm. Mayor Ronnie Marks will read a proclamation, then attendees will hear survivor stories, learn about domestic violence and find out about local resources to support victims.

Turkey Trot Turns Thirty in Twenty-Twenty-Three!
For three decades, we've been organizing the Crisis Services of North Alabama's Turkey Trot 5k– a Thanksgiving Day tradition that brings together families, friends, runners, and walkers of all ages. This year, as we mark the big 3-0, we're inviting you to be a part of the fun and fundraising.

Heartworks for HOPE Place
Meet us at Designbyhart Pottery Studio located in Lowe Mill to paint “Heartworks for HOPE Place,” an artist-led, paint-and-donate event in support of Crisis Services’ HOPE Place domestic violence shelters.
The Saturday event runs 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and the $35 fee covers supplies with the remaining proceeds going directly to Crisis Services of North Alabama.
