Full-Time Volunteer Coordinator

Community Services/Administration Building – Huntsville, AL

Mondays – Fridays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm,

nights and weekends as necessary

Major Accountabilities

  • Recruits and organizes volunteer work force for agency programs.

  • Provides ongoing recognition and support for volunteers.

  • Assists with training and public awareness activities.

  • Supervises Crisis Line Specialists.

  • Serves as staff on-call with other staff members, including providing medical advocacy for victims of violence.

  • Provides weekday coverage of the crisis line, if needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Completion of CSNA training program, and ACADV and ACAR required trainings

  • Ability to work well with a variety of people and strong communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Requires; confidentiality, proof of reliable transportation, insurable through agency auto insurance as well as current auto insurance and a valid AL Driver’s License.
