Grant Writer
Crisis Services of North Alabama, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, drafting, and submitting proposals to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and other sources.
Major Accountabilities
Research prospective funding sources and stay updated on grant opportunities.
Develop compelling and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and statistics.
Track and manage deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
Edit and proofread proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with guidelines.
Maintain records of submitted proposals and awarded grants.
Prepare reports for funders and ensure timely follow-up.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Familiarity with grant databases and funding platforms is a plus.
Completion of Crisis Services training program.

Full-time, salary exempt position; salary commensurate with experience
Health insurance (80% paid by Crisis Services for employees), group life insurance (80% paid by Crisis Services), long-term disability insurance (100% paid by Crisis Services) and optional dental and vision.
Paid time off, and employer contributions to a 403(b) Thrift Plan after one year of employment.
