Part-Time Domestic Violence (DV) Responder Coordinator – Madison County

Mondays – Fridays 29 hour/week, hours vary; nights and weekends as necessary

Major Accountabilities

  • Coordinates Domestic Violence Responder Program.

  • Coordinates schedules of DV Responders.

  • Provides emotional support and advocacy to victims of domestic violence.

  • Provides referrals to services for domestic violence victims not residing in shelter.

  • Responds to domestic violence calls with law enforcement personnel in time of emergency, as needed.  

  • Serves as on call in rotation with other staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or equivalent experience preferred

  • Completion of Crisis Services training program, and ACADV required trainings

  • Ability to work well with a variety of people and strong communication skills

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Requires confidentiality, proof of reliable transportation, insurable through agency auto insurance as well as current auto insurance and a valid AL Driver’s License.
