Walkers and Strollers Welcome in the 33rd Annual Turkey Trot!
The Main Trot isn't just for runners! Walkers are more than welcome and if you're rolling with a stroller or in a wheelchair, that's fine too. We just ask that you start at the back of the pack for safety purposes. This event is uses chip start technology, so don't worry about when you cross the starting line as your time will begin when you cross. Please leave your fur babies at home so we can keep the course clear and smooth.
Your Participation in the 33rd Annual Turkey Trot Helps Others Find Hope
Turkey Trot is one of our favorite days of the year—because it’s a family tradition that does real good.
Every Thanksgiving morning, people across North Alabama show up to run, walk, cheer, and make memories. It’s festive and full of hometown pride, but the impact reaches far beyond race day.
When you register, sponsor, or donate through Turkey Trot, you’re helping Crisis Services of North Alabama respond to a very real need in our community: support and safety for people experiencing domestic violence and those impacted by sexual assault, along with 24/7 crisis counseling for anyone who feels overwhelmed by life. Your support helps keep our HELPline open around the clock, helps provide emergency shelter for domestic violence survivors, and helps ensure survivors can access advocacy, support, and next steps—at no cost.
Turkey Trot may look like a celebration—and it is—but it also fuels life-changing work. Every step taken that morning helps someone else take their next step toward safety, stability, and hope.
