Start Thanksgiving at Turkey Trot
33 years. Thousands of families. One Thanksgiving morning tradition that keeps growing.
Join Crisis Services of North Alabama on November 26 for the 33rd Annual Turkey Trot 5K. Run, walk, stroll, or trot a USA Track and Field certified course with your people before the pie. It's the same route used for the Huntsville Track Club's Twilight Run.
Turkey Trot is fun, festive, and family-friendly. Every registration helps Crisis Services of North Alabama support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence with forensic exams, crisis counseling, and help navigating what comes next. Emergency shelter at HOPE Place is available for those fleeing domestic violence. All services are free and reached through HELPline (256-716-1000), any hour of any day.

No door prize drawing: We won't have a door prize drawing this year so we can award medals quicker.
Finish area: The Spragins Hall parking lot is now a car-free finish area. Parking won't be available at Spragins Hall.
Road closure: For safety, Ben Graves Drive will be closed from the intersection with Holmes Avenue to the parking lot across from Roberts Hall.
Bib pickup: Bibs will be available for pickup at the Fleet Feet Huntsville store for three days before the race. There will be no bib pickup at the Madison location. If you're picking up bibs for three or more people, or for people with different last names, please bring a list of names. We have a new process this year.
Chip timing: Your bib is chipped, so your time starts when you cross the starting line. It doesn't matter where you are in the pack.
Walkers and strollers: For safety, please line up at the back of the pack.

Does the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot cost anything?
Nope! No cash, no credit card, just lots of fun. (Please note: the Tiny Tot race is only for kids aged 5 and under.)Where is the starting line for The Tiny Tot Turkey Trot?
The Tiny Tots will start at the top of the Spragins Hall parking lot. The Tiny Tots will run toward the race finish line. Look for Tiny Turkey (our terrific turkey mascot).Where will the award ceremony be held?
That’s easy! Where you finished with your PR!I’d like to participate. Can I just walk?
Absolutely! We always have people who want to walk the 5k, so you will not be alone!I‘m part of a group that’s running together. Can I pick up everyone's bib?
Yes! All you'll need is their full name and everyone will be ready to trot on Thanksgiving! Will you have t-shirts available in youth sizes?
We will have a limited number of youth sizes this year. If you need a youth-sized tee, the earlier you pick up your bib, the better as tees are handed out on a first come, first-served basis. Can I push my child in a stroller in the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot so they can participate?
While we’d love for all Tiny Tots to try and outrun Tina Turkey, strollers pushed by an adult gives the rider an unfair advantage! You may, however, push your Tiny Tot and stroller in The Trot. Can I pick up my bib the morning of the race?
Yes, you may pick up your bib at Spragins Hall after registering online. Just make sure you get there early because we’ll close 15 minutes before the race with no exceptions.Where do I park?
We’ve linked a handy-dandy PDF of the parking map above (and here it is again) with plenty of designated parking spots. HOWEVER, if you need to leave before the festivities come to a close, we don’t recommend parking at Spragins Hall. It'll be blocked off and you’ll be stuck!May I run with my dog?
As much as we love fur babies, we don’t allow dogs on the course. Of course, all well-behaved and leashed pups are welcome to hang out and cheer from the sidelines!May I run with a stroller?
Absolutely! Strollers are more than welcome to join the race, but to keep things smooth and safe for everyone, we ask stroller-pushing participants to start at the back of the line. It's like a stroller parade! Are bikes, hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, push bikes, unicycles or wagons allowed on course?
We’re sorry, but only runners, joggers, walkers, baby strollers/joggers, and wheelchairs are allowed.
